In North Korea, the Constitution is defined as the basic law of a state which legally fixates the social institutions and regulates the principles of its development. The Socialist Constitution of North Korea is declaring the principles of politics, economy, culture and national defense through the preface of the Constitution and related articles. In North Korea, the principles of politics are most important principles above all, and the key principle of politics is Juche Idea which declared in the preface and article 3 of the Constitution. Juche Idea is the fundamental leading ideology of state activities and the Worker's Party of North Korea and social communities, and the Sole Leading System of 'Suryung' and the Worker's Party of North Korea have been established. Until now Juche Idea plays a key role of fundamental principle of the Socialist Constitution of North Korea and the Worker's Party of North Korea. In the face of recent crisis of North Korea, it cannot be denied that they put more emphasis on the 'Songun Idea' and the dominance of Juche Idea has been relatively weakened. But yet it is too frivolous that Juche Idea has conceded it's dominant position to Songun Idea. The Amendment of Socialist Constitution of North Korea in 2009 can be evaluated that military state is institutionalized by sticking to Juche Idea as leading basic principle and adding Songun Idea as overt principle of politics.
