한부모 모자가정의 가정환경변인, 유아변인 및 어머니 변인과 유아의 문제행동 간 관련성: 이혼가정을 중심으로

본 연구는 부모가 이혼한 후 어머니가 자녀양육을 담당하고 있는 한부모 모자가정 147명 어머니를 대상으로 가정환경(근로소득, 이혼 후 양육기간, 사회적 지원, 전 배우자의 경제적 지원, 전 배우자와 자녀 간 만남), 유아변인(까다로운 기질, 정서조절), 및 어머니 변인(어머니 정신건강; 우울, 알코올 의존, 양육스트레스, 양육신념; 과다애정 경계, 훈육/통제 중시, 양육태도; 긍정적 평가, 평등주의, 엄격함, 간섭, 의존성 조장, 부모자녀간 의사소통)과 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동 간 관련성이 어떠한 지를 자세히 살펴보았다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 가정환경 변인 중 사회적 지원, 전 배우자와 자녀와의 만남 유무, 유아변인 중 유아의 까다로운 기질, 어머니 변인 중 어머니의 알코올 의존과 양육스트레스, 지나친 훈육과 통제를 중시하는 양육태도가 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동을 유의하게 설명하였다. 그러나 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동 유형별로 각 변인의 영향력 측면에서는 차이가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 통해 부모의 이혼으로 인한 한부모 모자가정 유아의 내재화 및 외현화 문제행동 각 유형에 따른 중재와 개입을 위한 상담 및 심리치료 프로그램 개발에 활용될 수 있는 다양한 논의들이 제안되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of family environment, mental health of preschoolers and their mothers and parenting on preschooler's behavior problem in 147 divorced families. Preschooler's age range was from 2 years old to 5 years old. Results are as follows. First, mothers in middle class showed more controlling parenting and promoted more for children's dependency on their mothers. Preschoolers in middle class showed more external behavior problems than those in poverty. Second, social support, economic support from ex-husband, child custody, preschooler's difficult temperament, mother's alcohol abuse, dysfunctional parenting were the significant predictor of both preschooler's internalizing and externalizing behavior problems. Theoretical and therapeutical implications for preschoolers and their mothers in divorced family of results are discussed.
