디자인능력 평가모형과 재능 확신성에 관한 상관성 연구

The objective of this study is focused to find out a right direction and possibility of applying self-evaluation system of design ability for the students who are giving efforts to understand how to develop by themselves about their design ability in industrial design field. It is proceeding to verify the correlationship between the understanding about the concepts and elements of design ability and the confidence of design talent and satisfaction of their decision on their majoring in the product design, in order to confirm the possibility of applying the evaluation model and to provide them motivation for developing their design capability with right understanding on it’s elements. A questionnaire survey was conducted with 180 students. The main tests are composed of correlation, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and MANOVA. The result are as follows. First, a higher degree of confidence on their design talent, produced a higher interests on the design capability elements. Second, there was no correlationship between degree of satisfaction on their selected major and design capability elements. Third, a higher level of their evaluation, obtained a higher interests on the design capability elements. The results imply that it's in need of another motivations to design students for educational purpose. Understanding the elements of design capability and correlating on the confidence of design talents with them are very important parts of the progressive educational methods to manifest the right goals of design education.
