지역혁신체제에서 연구개발투자의 지역산업에 미친 영향분석: 강원도를 중심으로

We can examine systematically the extending process from promotion policy of regional industry and R&D investment, knowledge production and utilization to impact on regional economy. This study analyses impact of promotion policy of regional industry and R&D investment, knowledge production and development of regional industry with systematic view. Results of the research show that R&D investment of Gangwon province have been continuously increased particularly on biotechnology, new materials and plasma since 2002. Therefore, knowledge production and potential capacities in the region dramatically increased. Regional competitiveness index in Gangwon province showed regional economic strength. Innovation capacities index grew up, industrial development grew down little bit and human resource immensely grew down. The trends of these indexes shows there may be a decrease of future innovation capacities in this region. Among regional strategic industries, visitor industry accounts for the most relative important area in Gangwon province. Biotechnology, medical devices, new materials and prevention of disasters are following. In particular, the number of firms in biotechnology industry increased substantially and the phenomenon showed that the impact of R&D investment of Gangwon local government started to appear in the region.
