The Effects of Purchasing-related Job Supports by Family Restaurants’ Headquarters on Satisfaction with Purchasing Process and Food Materials

The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of purchasing-related job supports by family restaurants' headquarters on satisfaction with purchasing process and food materials. Out of 360 responses, 231responses(64%) were received and 194(54%) were used for analysis. The demographic characteristics of the respondents were presented and four hypotheses were tested using SPSS 12.0. The results of the study indicated that headquarters’ job supports for food purchasing were essential to improve satisfaction with purchasing process and food materials. Especially, suppliers' delivery-service quality was more important to the satisfaction with the food materials than purchasing-steps. This study discussed the results of managerial implications, limitations and limitations at the end of the research.
