디자인산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 기업 내 디자인 전문인력 양성의 방향설정에 관한 연구

Design industry is one of the promising future growth engine for economic development and national competitiveness. So, securing its development is important for raison d'êtat. Human resource is the fundamental infrastructure of design industry. In the study, some issues, level of business activity and contribution degree of skilled design manpower, present condition and problems in job retraining, are discussed and alternative plans are suggested to improve professionalism and competence of design experts. It may brings a ripple effect on design industry itself and any other industry. Previous researches, studies and status report are used to determine the business activity status of skilled design manpower and effectiveness of retraining program for competence improvement. Strength and weakness in design industry and nurturing skilled manpower are analyzed with those research materials. To secure competiveness of design industry, expanding qualified design expert poll and intensifying bedrock of constant retraining program are required. Making aggressive use of official and quasi-public design infrastructures, KIDP, government supported design institute, regional RDC and university-run DIC and so on, could be one of the appropriate alternatives.
