통합디자인프로세스의 효과적인 적용을 위한 기초자치단체의 디자인전담조직 유형 연구

The integrated design process should be applied in order to bring the efficiency of various public services related to public design to local governments. To do this, it is necessary for the departments working on public design at urban-related division to be restructured design department or to be transferred to planning-related department. The purpose of this study is to suggest the types of designing organization that is capable of applying the integrated design process effectively. For this, this research has refined the concept of integrated design with literature review. Furthermore, we have examined the current situations of the works related to design service of national government, and local government at Gyeonggi province and Ga-pyeong county by browsing various web sites of the government organizations. As a result of this study, we learned that public design serve needs to be handled by the organizations which can only deals with designrelated service in order to bring the consistency and efficiency to design service of local governments. In addition, we also suggest the types of design organization that can work on the issue we found. It seems to be effective that planning-related division should manage to form the organization of design service since the division can reflect the opinion and policy direction from local government and its heads without any bias and interruption. That will be the most effective Integrated Design. We also consider that the future study needs to be followed to demonstrate the appropriateness of the suggested types of organization.
