퇴직연금가입기업의 사업자 경쟁력 인식실태평가

본 연구는 우리나라 기업이 퇴직연금사업자인 금융회사를 선정할 때 우선적으로 고려하는 제반요인이 무엇이며, 보험회사 등 금융회사에 대한 경쟁력을 어떻게 인식하고 평가하고 있는지 등을 퇴직보험을 해지하고 퇴직연금에 가입한 기업(314개 기업)을 대상으로 설문조사 및 통계분석을 실시하고 퇴직연금시장에서 보험회사 경쟁력 제고차원에서 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 분석결과, 기업들은 사업자의 장기운용능력, 건전성, 서비스 능력 등을 사업자 선정시 주요 고려요인으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 그럼에도 실제 사업자 선택시에는 주거래 은행제도, 단기적인 운용성과, 사업자 이미지 등과 같은 요인이 더욱 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 공정한 시장경쟁질서 확립과 퇴직연금 특성에 부합한 사업자 선정가이드라인이 법적· 제도적으로 정비될 필요가 있다. 다음으로 보험회사는 다른 금융회사에 비해 전문성, 교육 및 컨설팅서비스 등에서 월등히 경쟁력 우위에 있는 것으로 나타나 이를 보다 차별화할 수 있는 운영전략 수립이 보다 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 특히 장기운용능력, 편리성· 신속성 등에서 경쟁력 우위에 있다고 인식하고 있는 기업을 대상으로 적극적인 마케팅을 시도하여 시장지배력을 강화함과 아울러 기업규모별, 직종별로 운용전략을 차별화하는 전략수립이 보다 요구된다.
Abstract
This study investigates the recognition and the evaluation of participating companies in the corporate pension plan on the retirement pension operators such as insurers, banks, and securities companies in Korea. We survey 314 companies and find that they attach the great importance to the long-term management skill, financial soundness and service of a plan operator in their operator selection process. The result also shows that insurance companies have the advantage of factors like expertise, retirement planning services over other financial companies. It implies that insurance companies should retain and attract customer by enhancing long-term management and expertise, and by focusing on providing retirement planning services in terms of market strategy. In addition, the result implies that insurer should focus on the training of specialized personnel and the pension education for plan candidates.
