의자디자인의 색채와 형태 트렌드 분석 - 근․현대 의자 디자인을 중심으로 -

초록
의자는 가구 중에서 규모가 작아 사회적 변화와 디자인 트렌드에 따라 디자인 변형이 많이 발생하기 때문에 빠른 시간 내에 재료나 형태 그리고 색채 측면에서 다양성을 보여 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 20c초부터 현재까지 가구디자인 중에서 의자디자인 트렌드 유형을 색채와 형태를 중심으로 분석하고자 한다. 관련 문헌 조사를 통하여 분석의 틀을 마련하고, 사례조사로 2008 밀라노 국제박람회에서 추출된 52가지 의자디자인을 대상으로 재적용하여 분석하였으며, 최종적으로 형태와 색채에 따라 16가지 유형으로 분류하여 트렌드 유형을 조사하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 의자디자인은 색채와 형태를 고려하여 시기에 따라 연대기 순으로 1900∼1930년, 1931∼1960년, 1961∼80년, 1981∼2000년 그리고 현대까지 5그룹으로 나누었다. 둘째, 의자디자인은 색채(모던하고 도회적인-온화하고 소박한, 유채색- 무채색)과 형태(부드럽고-딱딱한, 동적인-정적인)에 따라 16가지 유형으로 분류하였다. 그 결과 근세기 초에는 온화하고 소박한 무채색의 디자인에서 현대에는 다양한 색채와 형태로 다변화되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 앞으로 다양한 소비자의 요구와 시대적 변화에 따라 의자디자인은 지속적으로 창조되고 끊임없이 변화될 것으로 예상된다.
Abstract
Today, it is very important to analyze and predict the trends of furniture design. The purpose of this study is to investigate the chair design according to color and form from 1900 to 2000, and contemporary(i Saloni Milano, 2008). The research methods to achieve this purpose are review of literature and 52 digital showcase photos analyze. The Results of this research are as follows: The first, the characteristics of chair design are described in chronological order(1900-30, 1931-60, 1961-80, 1981-2000 and contemporary). Secondly, the chair design were categorized 16 types according to color(modern-natural, chromatic-achromatic) and form (soft-hard, dynamic-static). Finally, the chair design in the early 20th century showed natural-achromatic and then these days are very diverse color and form. As a results, it is looked for the creative and endless conversion with customer’s needs in the chair design.
