A Study on Producing Interior of Franchised Rice Cake Cafe

초록

In recent years, many franchised rice cake cafes which transformed Korean traditional food into modernized one have emerged. Therefore, It seems to be needed to research how different they are from others in producing interior design. At this point, this study surveyed present state of rice cake cafes in Gwangju and analyzed the character of their interior. First, franchised rice cake cafes provide two sections: a place for display and for enjoying food and beverage. Second, the essential elements in producing interior of three brands among franchised rice cake cafes were surveyed from the spacial, decorative, esthetic point. Third, as they are the places where sell traditional food, rice cake, they typically prefer traditional image but it depends on each brand in expressing the image. Not like "A day of rice cakebo' which emphasize its traditional image, the other two brands, "Bizzen' and 'Yedason' have modern image. In the process of producing the interior of franchised rice cake cafes, we need to produce global interior design by accepting the trend and distinguishing from the normal cafes.
