보건소 조직성격과 조직시민행동의 관계

The purpose of this study is to examine the relations between organizational character and Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (OCBs) in public health centers. The subjects are from 422 personnel who work at public health centers located in Jeonnam areas of Korea. The data was collected from September through October, 2009 and analyzed by using SPSS Win. package. The results of this study are as follows. First, ESTJ (Extroversion-Sensing-Thinking-Judging) type is the most prevalent character. In terms of decision making style, ST (Sensing-Thinking) style is the most dominant, and EJ (Extroversion-Judging) style in terms of action style. Secondly, Extroversion (E) type is significantly preferable at altruism and civic virtue in the analysis of relationship between MBTI preferences and organizational citizenship behaviors, Sensing (S) type at courtesy, and Judging (J) type at sportsmanship. In terms of action style, EJ style is significantly preferable at altruism and civic virtue in organizational citizenship behaviors. This suggests that organizational character is important as a factor affecting organizational citizenship behaviors. Therefore, it is essential that policy makers and administrators address organizational character in developing OCBs of health centers.
