공급사슬관리 실행방식과 성과에 대한 정보기술의 조정효과
Moderating Effect of IT Technology on Relationship between SCM Practices and Performances

본 논문은 다자간 관계의 최적화를 추구하는 공급사슬관리의 실행방식(practice)들이 기업의 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치는지를 확인하고, 그 관계상에서 정보기술이 긍정적 조정 효과를 나타내는지를 확인하는 것을 주된 내용으로 한다. 다수의 기존 문헌에서 도출한 공급사슬관리 실행방식이 기업의 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있는지를 국내 제조기업들로 구성된 표본 집단에 대한 조사를 통하여 실증적으로 확인하는 것을 연구의 1차적 목표로 하였다. 나아가, 전자문서교환(EDI)과 기업자원계획시스템(ERP)의 두 가지 정보기술의 활용 정도가 ‘실행방식-성과’ 간의 관계에 조정적(moderate) 효과를 나타내는지를 실증적으로 분석 및 검정하는 것을 2차적 목표로 하였다. 전국에 소재한 제조업체들을 대상으로 한 실증조사 및 구조방정식 모형과 조정적(계층적) 회귀분석을 활용한 실증분석 결과, 공급사슬관리 실행방식은 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미치고 있으며, 두 정보기술 모두 정(+)의 조정효과를 나타내었다. 특히, ERP가 보다 높은 조정효과를 나타내었는데, 이는 단기적 이고 즉각적 성과 개선을 위해서는 ERP의 적극적 활용이 필요하다는 해석을 가능하게 한다.
Abstract
Our research question is to confirm positive relationship between Supply Chain Management practices and performance, and the role of IT technology on that relationship. This study seeks to find whether SCM practices affect positively on performances of manufacturing/operation companies in real situation and, in that relationship, if IT technology, represented by ERP and EDI, take the role of a moderate variable. With empirical study for nationwide manufacturing companies, we earned the conclusion that SCM practices have positive effect on manufacturing companies' performances and that both ERP and EDI take the role as moderate variable. Moreover, we had additional results that ERP helps manufacturing companies have more immediate performances than EDI and the latter take the role of some kind of 'infrastructure.'
