벤처기업을 위한 디자인 컨설팅 툴킷 개발 및 디자인 컨설팅 사례: 기능성 화장품 기업의 브랜드 및 패키지 개발을 중심으로

본 디자인 결과물은 벤처기업 디자인 컨설팅을 위해 개발된 디자인 컨설팅 툴킷을 설정하고 이를 활용하여 기능성 화장품을 개발하고 있는 한 벤처기업의 브랜드 및 패키지 디자인을 개발한 사례이다. 벤처기업은 창립역사가 짧아 기업운영에 대한 경험이 부족하고, 기업의 조직이나 자본금 등의 규모가 작기 때문에 시장에서의 경쟁력이 취약할 수밖에 없는 상황이다. 따라서 디자인 컨설팅은 벤처기업이 디자인을 통해 시장에서 상품 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있도록 지원해야 함과 동시에 디자인의 컨설팅 범위는 기업이 의뢰하는 규모에 따라 범위를 유연하게 선택하고, 실행할 수 있도록 도와주는 디자인 컨설팅 툴킷이 필요하다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 툴킷은 컨설팅 조직의 특성 및 역량에 따라 디자인 컨설팅의 범위를 세분화하고, 기업이 의뢰하는 디자인 컨설팅 규모에 따라 적절한 범위를 선택하여 활용하는데 효과적이다. 이를 통해 본 연구에서는 실제 기능성 화장품을 개발하는 벤처기업의 사례를 툴킷에 적용하여 컨설팅의 범위에 따라 브랜드 및 패키지 디자인 결과물을 도출하였다.
Abstract
Venture companies have comparatively poor marketability in terms of its short history, small-scale organizations and low capital. Therefore, support from design consulting firms is required to raise the venture companies' competitiveness. We need to effectively select the range and methods of design consulting by considering the scale of the client's request and applying the correct consulting guidelines. We developed the Design Consulting Tool-Kit in order to support design consulting for venture companies, as well as adopted the cases of design consulting for a new venture company which has just started to produce functional cosmetics. This Design Consulting Tool-Kit contains various consulting methods for design as a whole. Hopefully, such a tool-kit guides methods on a consulting level. By using the Design Consulting Tool-Kit, we aim to design the brand, container and graphics of the M company.
