사회적 자본 형성과 관련한 부산시 초․중․고등학교 교훈 내용 분석

초록
우리 사회가 갈등이 증가하고, 신뢰의 기반이 허물어져는 심각한 문제에 직면하여, 그 해결을 위해 사회적 자본 형성과 확충의 필요성이 그 어느 때보다 강조되고 있다. 본 연구는 사회적 자본은 교육을 통해 형성되거나 더욱 강화될 수 있다는 점에서 학교 현장에서 학교의 교육 목표이자 교육 이념인 교훈이 사회적 자본에 관한 내용을 얼마만큼 수용하고 있는가를 살펴보았다. 교훈의 내용 분석에서 중심 낱말(또는 덕목)을 분석 기준에 따라 분류하고, 그 비중을 조사하였다. 분석 결과, 부산 소재 초· 중· 고등학교의 교훈 내용은 초등학교의 경우 아동들의 발달단계를 고려하여 지식, 기능, 건강 등이 교훈의 중심 내용을 이루고 있지만, 중·고등학교는 교훈의 내용이 사회적 자본의 형성에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 사회적 자본을 형성하는 일은 쉬운 과제가 아니다. 그러나 이 일은 민주주의가 효율적으로 작동하도록 만드는 데 중요한 열쇠이다. 그러므로 앞으로 학교 현장의 다양한 분야, 예를 들어 교육과정이나, 교과서, 교육 매체, 교수 학습 과정 등에서 사회적 자본과 관련한 실태를 비판적으로 논의하고, 이를 통해 사회적 자본을 형성하기위한 실천적 연구와 노력들이 경주되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The need of the formation and expansion of social capital is emphasized more than ever to resolve serious problems in the face of increasing of conflict and collapse of trust in our society. In this study, we have analysed and examined contents of school percepts which are symbols of school's educational goals, because social capital can be formated and expanded through school education. According to the analysis criteria of words (or virtues) in relation to social capital, the proportion was investigated. From the results of this analysis, we have got conclusions as follows;Even though, school percepts of elementary school in Busan emphasize the human capital, School percepts of middle and high school in Busan would contribute much to the formation of social capital in spite of real needs of good glade and entrance examination. The formation of social capital is not no easy task. But it is a key to create democracy. Therefore, various aspects of the school education, for example,training courses or textbooks, educational media, and teaching-learning process,etc. related to the actual conditions of social capital are discussed critically, and practical efforts should be followed as the formation of social capital.
