환경적 요인이 정보기술, 경쟁전략 및 물류성과에 미치는 영향

This paper attempts to study the hierarchical relationship among environmental factors, information technology(IT), competitive strategy and logistics performance. This paper investigates the relationships among environmental uncertainty, logistics IT, and competitive strategy, and suggests logistics strategies that would help to achieve the logistical goals. This paper examines the impacts of environmental uncertainty, logistics IT, and competitive strategy on the logistics goal. This paper uses Korean listed firms as a research sample. The researcher contacted the logistics controller to obtain permission for the study. Once the firm agreed to participate, the researcher visited logistics divisional managers within the firm to administer the questionnaires. The questionnaires were primarily designed to collect information about the independent and dependent variables. However, an opportunity to interview many of the leading authorities in logistics management systems also provided an excellent opportunity to gather additional insight into logistics management. A total of 500 questionnaires were sent out in January, 2009. 236 valid responses were collected. The findings suggest the following. First, environmental factors directly influence on the logistics IT. Second, competitive strategy itself is influenced mainly by logistics IT, which in turn is influenced by environmental factors indirectly. Third, logistics performances are influenced mainly by competitive strategy and logistics IT, which in turn is influenced by environmental uncertainty indirectly. The results of this study will help firms to become aligned and to focus on improving the competitive strategies of logistics systems.
