기후변화에 따른 북극해 개발경쟁과 파이프라인개발에 관한 연구

Aside from efforts around the world to prevent catastrophic climate change,global interest is focused on the availability of the commercial use of areas that were inaccessible in the past, thanks to the reduction of the ice caused by global warming. Amid the steep rise in international oil prices, the competition between countries on infrastructure construction, namely gas (oilfield) and transport systems to secure natural energy sources is growing more fiercely ; it also appears that the issue could be expanded to energy security problems,leading to regional disputes between countries. The study contemplated transport plans of resources through a pipeline transport method, a clean means of transport so as to prevent a thawing phenomenon of the Arctic Ocean via a development considering environmental issues in the area according to the climate-change systems for coastal and non-coastal states. We conducted the research to suggest a solution with respect to limiting factors, and various social and economic barriers that must be overcome by analyzing the operating conditions of pipelines by America and Russia among other major Arctic coastal states. We believe our findings may be utilized as core data for policy-making by governments to support corresponding enterprises.
