Marine design has emerged as an important core keyword of the 21st century. This study is intended to clarify the classification of the marine design. Recently expectations and the importance for the marine industry has become increasingly emphasized. However extensive theoretical studies on marine design is insufficient. This study of the marine design as basic research to establish a theoretical scheme is meant. The method of study is based on the related books, papers, and recent government publications, newspapers, magazines and research of professionals, seminars, etc. published by the media, including Internet resources. Results of previous studies of the area and the category marine design show different classifications of the marine industry by each group. In this paper the classification of the design sector and the maritime industry classification system were analyzed. In this study Classification of marine design was newly organized. First, the harbor storage, warehousing, logistics, port-related problems such as space and ocean scenery and waterfront buildings. Second, the fisheries and fishery processing, marine biology, marine fisheries resources and fisheries biotechnology area are related to. Third, the yacht and shipbuilding and marine equipment, and leisure equipment. Fourth, made ​​from marine sports and tourism, there are areas such as entertainment. Fifth, public design or ocean marine education-related services, there are various design industries. This research is expected to contribute marine design a foundation for future value creation.
