관광개발영향에 대한 주민이익 및 애향심과 개발지지도의 연구 : 새만금 국제관광단지 개발 사례를 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 새만금 국제관광단지 개발에 대한 관광개발 영향에 대한 지역주민의 인식을 분석하고, 지역주민의 이익과 애향심이 개발지지에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 하였다. 분석방법은 관광개발 영향에 대한 차원 감소 방법과 을 사용하였으며, 회귀분석을 이용하여 영향관계를 조사하였다. 회귀분석의 결과는 긍정적 사회문화적 영향과 긍정적 환경적 영향이 지역주민의 이익에 대하여 통계적으로 유의하였으며, 긍정적 사회문화 영향과 긍정적 환경적 영향이 지역 주민의 애향심에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 지역주민의 이익과 애향심은 개발지지에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과를 요약하면, 새만금의 국제관광단지를 개발하는 과정에서 지역주민들은 영향인식에 대하여 모든 부분에서 긍정적인 인식을 하고 있으며, 주민이익과 애향심이 높아질수록 개발지지도가 높기 때문에 지역주민의 이익을 고려할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고, 사회문화적인 영향과 환경적 영향에 대한 교육과 홍보를 통하여 긍정적인 인식을 높인다면 지역주민이 적극적으로 동참할 수 있 수 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to analyze the residents' perception of tourism development impacts and how residents' benefits and attachment for Saemangeum development are related to the development support. A factor analysis was used to delineate underlying dimensions of tourism development impacts and a regression analysis was used to investigate relationship. The result of regression analysis indicated that positive social-cultural impact and positive economic impact had an effect on the residents' benefits and that positive social-cultural impact and positive environmental impact had an effect on the residents' attachment. And the resident' benefit and attachment had an effect on the development support. According to the result, the residents' perception of tourism development impacts is positive in the process of Saemangeum development. Because the higher resident' benefit and attachment are, the higher the development support is, it is necessary that the development planner propose a method of the considering resident' benefit and promote a positive perception through an education and a public relations for social-cultural and environmental impact.
