이슬람의 '정치관'이 아랍사회에 미치는 영향-아랍국가의 민주화시위와 '이슬람식 민주주의'논의를 중심으로-

The aim of this paper is to study the pro-democracy movement in the Arab world, and to analyze the theoretical backgrounds for democratization and Islamic democracy. Also, This paper considers whether Western democracy can spread in the Arab countries after the demonstration for democracy in Arab. In addition, This study discusses how “Islamic democracy” based on the values of Islam has an effect on the democratization in Arab world. In this study, I define the concept of Islamic democracy as follows. Islamic democracy means Shari’a, which is based on the Quran and Hadith, and the democracy based on Islamic politics and political thought. Of course, this definition can have a variety of counter-arguments. However, this study covers a wide definition of Islamic democracy and founds the detailed theories about Islamic democracy through Islamic politics. I am sure that this approach will help to have the bright future for democracy in Arab world.
