The property of Transition and Influence of Technique of Car Design in Japan -"Before ’90 Accord and After" Shown in the History of Headlight Design-

In order to change the headlight of the Honda Accord 90s designed models, a new multi-reflector headlight system was created by developing of new lighting technology in the background. On the occasion of the development of this design, the design method and type were study to the age, and lighting design was sought from base on the designed method and type. Design of the model have been an effect on the headlights design afterward, has reached today. In this paper, we summarize old headlight design before the 1990s models and also investigate values and concepts of designs afterward. Since 1960, history of the headlight start with a round to square. and then, "Multi Reflector Type" was accepted as the next generation model, after review and compare with project type. The essence of lighting method which was developed means that amplification of light does not depend on the lens cutting. From this result, various headlight designs were created.
