국내 디자인 전문회사의 요구에 기반 한 디자인 컨설팅 프로세스 개선 방향 연구

As the 21st century has brought changes in design paradigm, design business is gradually expanding beyond works centered on design development to all areas of business operation including planning, R&D, and distribution. The expansions have reached a point where new competitiveness is being required to develop a design consulting process that approaches design issues from a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary perspective. This paper aims to carry out basic research for developing a design consulting process for professional designers by analyzing the major issues in strengthening design process and proposing a way to develop design process for future designers. This paper explores the characteristics of design consultancy and then examines the significant features in design consulting process. Afterwards, this paper analyzes the demands of designers by examining focus group interviews on professional designers working at Korean design consulting companies. Based on the results, this paper carries out significant issues in design consulting process based on the demands of professional designers. It hopes that the development of a design consulting process based on the demands of designers will heighten reliability and enhance design consulting process efficiency.
