디자인 대학입시에서 입학사정관 전형의 도입에 대한 탐색 - 입학사정관들을 대상으로

The research is aimed to explore the possibility for implementing the Admission Officer System in college admission screening, specifically for design majors. The Admission Officer Systems in Korea and the U.S were compared in terms of the purpose for implementation, the high school curriculum, decisive factors for admission screening and the psychosocial factors surrounding college admissions. A survey was administered to 57 Admission Officers concerning the suitability and the related issues for implementing the system in design majoring college screening. The survey results showed that Admission Officers generally agreed upon implementing the system in design majoring colleges, showing more emphasis on portfolio, interview, study plan, and extracurricular activities than the scores of SAT or high school GPA. They also thought the system needs to be implemented based on the college's distinct features and the founding ideology. They thought the role of professor important when interviewing for screening, and the desirable ratio for the interview is 30 to 40%. Finally, they suggested a few points for settling down the Admission Officer Systems in design majoring college admission screening.
