2007 및 2009 개정 교육과정 및 교과서 분석에 기초한 사회과 인권교육의 현황

이 연구는 2007 및 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 사회과 교육과정과 교과서(초등 3학년∼고등1학년)에 반영된 인권 내용을 살펴봄으로써 사회과교육에서 다루는 인권교육의 현황과 특성을 파악하려고하였다. 사회과 교육과정 및 교과서를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2007 개정에 비하여 2009개정으로 인해 사회과 교육과정에서 인권 관련 교육 내용의 구성이나 체계성이 약화되었다. 둘째, 초등학교의 사회 교과서가 중·고등학교 사회 교과서에 비해 인권 내용을 더 체계적으로 다루고 있다. 셋째, 교과서에서 인권교육을 제시하는 방식은 설명, 사례, 자료, 탐구 활동 등으로 다양하게 제시되고있다. 넷째, 교과서에서 다루는 인권 내용의 주인공으로서 사회적 약자나 청소년은 적게 나타나는 편이다. 이런 점을 고려할 때 향후 사회과 교육과정의 개정과 교과서 구성을 위해 다음과 같은 점이 고려되어야 할 것이다. 첫째, 사회과에서 학습내용으로 하는 인권 내용에 대한 교육 체계를 구성하고 이를 교육과정과 교과서에 반영할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 교과서 내용 구성에서 청소년 및 학생의 인권 사례및 다양한 사회적 약자와 관련한 인권 주제를 다룰 수 있도록 도움을 주는 자료 개발이 필요하다.
Abstract
This research aims for investigating (1) the analysis of 'Human Rights' content in 3~10 grade's social studies of 2007' and 2009' nation's educational curriculum (2) the analysis of 'Human Rights' content in 3~10 grade's social studies Textbooks, and (3) the consideration issues and tasks on 'Human Rights' education in social studies. The findings are follows; (1) the 'Human Rights' content of nation's social studies educational curriculum is diminishing, (2) the 'Human Rights' content of the elementary school social studies textbook is more organized than middle and high school social studies textbook, (3) the 'Human Rights' content of social studies textbook presented in various way; explanation, example, data,and inquiry, (4) the main character of he 'Human Rights' content of the elementary school social studies textbook is more presented people than minority and students.
