The purpose of this paper is to share the results of a study that focused on the cross-state-case comparative analysis on the four states (America,Canada, Germany, France) regarding migrant integration policy in order to derive the appropriate tasks and approaches for migrant integration policies on a relatively general level. In such a context this article deals with the following themes: description about the basic methodological framework for a comparative analysis, process and content of the cross-state-case comparative analysis on the abovementioned four states, and presentation of the result and its application by seven policy domains or strands. The bottom line of this paper can be formulated as follows: In this study the authors have tried to analyze the migrant integration policies in four countries from a comparative perspective based on the MSSD (the most similar systems design) especially by using the given result of MIPEX (migrant integration policy index) as a basic data. The consequences of this comparative analysis are a list of tasks and approaches in seven policy domains or strands (i. e. labour market mobility, family reunion for foreign nationals, education, political participation, long term residence, access to nationality, and anti-discrimination), which we have to consider as useful and relevant variables for institutionalization and implementation of a future migrant integration policy.
