The Effect of Health Behavior and Mental Health State of Middle School Students on Atopic Dermatitis

The purpose of this study establish basic evidence for effective health services and programs of schools, hospitals, regional communities by stating the influence of middle school students' health behavior and mental health state in Atopic dermatitis. For this purpose, chi-squared test was conducted to discover relations between middle school students' health behavioral factors, mental health state factors and Atopic dermatitis. Also, logistic regression analysis was carried out to discover factors that affect Atopic dermatitis. As a result, in health behavioral aspect, drinking, passive smoking, physical activity, regular meal and fatigue recovery were the factors that affect Atopic dermatitis. Also, in the mental health state aspect, mental stress, depression, suicidal ideation were the factors of Atopic dermatitis. This study is significant in the sense that it provide preliminary data that can help planning various alternatives to decrease prevalence rate of Atopic dermatitis through health services of hospitals and regional communities and school health education.
