Textile CAD를 활용한 자카드 직물개발 연구 - 자카드 직물과 프린트 디자인을 접목시킨 직물디자인 중심으로-

Today, as the customer’s demands are getting diversified and peculiarized, the interest and research in new technologies and materials are being continued in design field and the creative and innovative design through fusion with new field is in the limelight. Along with this trend, today’s design competitiveness requires enough information steadily for new technology and materials in other fields as well as the fusion with them appropriately. Therefore, designers make crossover attempts by mixing various technologies and materials, and in the field of textile design, CAD (Computer Aided Design) is applied for new material and design development. This study focuses, among other textile CAD System methods of expressing patterns on the fabric, especially on introducing new fabric which applies digital textile printing on the Jacquard fabric which makes different background and pattern on the fabric. In general, Jacquard design, among other weaving techniques, has advantage of diverse expressions of multiple patterns realistically or abstractly and so it is the most effective upon expressing diverse textures. However, Jacquard fabric has a limit in expressing various colors change and detailed shape. I focus on the study of separating two layers of fabric by applying Double Weave among basic fabrics so as to develop fabric which enables DTP on the Jacquard fabric, and based on it, I’d like to attempt DTP to contribute to the design direction and to find infinite possibility in textile design through various new designs requested by today’s informatization era.
