천안함 침몰사건과 연평도 포격사건을 통해 본 ‘국가안보’와 ‘인간안보'

Korea is facing crisis in ‘national security’ in 2010. The relationship between South and North Korea is going steadily downhill because of Cheonan ship sinking, North Korea’s artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island and the upsurge on military tensions on the Korean Peninsula according to prior two incidents. The Lee Myung-bak administration and military revealed general crisis according to Cheonan ship sinking and North Korea’s artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island. Ironically, those incidents brought about in the Lee Myung-bak administration which has put the ‘national security’ at the top of his agenda. There seems to be a high probability of the local war in Korean Peninsula or all-out war on account of extreme conflicts over like those military collisions between South and North Korea. The Lee Myung-bak administration is now in a crisis not only the traditional ‘national security’ of military strength-oriented, but also the ‘human security’ which has an inseparable relationship in democracy,sustainable development, human rights and peace on a national and global level. It means that the Lee Myung-bak administration is facing an overall critical situation in ‘national security’ and ‘human security’ as shaking the National Human Rights Commission, democracy regression and the crisis of human rights, environment and ecology.
