사회적 책임(SR) 국제표준이 노동계에 미치는 영향 및 한국 노동조합의 인식과 대응

FKTU and KCTU did not show the development of a specific response to the international standards Social Responsibility (SR) since 2007. However, the KCTU has criticized consistently that the traditional activity of trade unions and even the CSR can be intimidated due to the standardization of SR, while the FKTU has participated actively in the SR Standardization Forum and made a chance for expanding ‘labor movement in the people’. The differences result from the following characters of the organizations: as for FKTU, the congruence of the role expectation to the State and the confidence in the government, the separation of the worker/trade union from the people/citizen,membership trade unionism, regarding trade union as stakeholder in the business/society; contrary to it, as for KCTU, the separation of the expectation to the State from the confidence in government, congruence of the interest area of the worker/trade union and that of the people/citizen, the general trade unionism, regarding trade union as the social partner or main agent in business/society. The FKTU can not be well aware of and response to the challenges of the SR as ‘double-edged sword’, while the KCTU is well aware of its challenging aspects but can miss the opportunity to accelerate the organizational and social development due to underestimating the influence of international standards.
