한국의 결혼이주여성 인권보호를 위한 제언

Korea society is showing many symptoms as a multicultural society. “Feminization of migration” is a global phenomenon and migrant women’s marriage has led this trend. In Korea many it is frequent that men search the women to marry with in the third world as an alternative of the lack of partner/spouse. Some marital women are not respected suffering from domestic violence. According to statistics, divorce rate is high and in most of divorce cases the reason of divorce is the domestic violence. Migrant women are vulnerable to become crime victim, because they don’t know culture, customs, rules. And migrant women are easy to be victim of domestic violence, because men pay for marriage and they don't recognize women’s position equally. An administration of appropriate policies and legislation is necessary to protect the migrant women’s right. I propose that policies be implemented step by step and non governmental organization lead the policies. I also suggest that some current act have to be revised and new act has to be enacted. In short, migrant women is treated as members of our society and their right must be protected especially when it comes to domestic violence.
