본 연구는 공공공간의 이용자 디자인 만족도에 영향을 주는 공공공간 디자인 요소를 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 복합용도시설의 공공공간 개별 디자인 요소에 대한 이용자 중요도 변수를 설정하고 디자인 요소가 시설의 공공공간 디자인 만족도에 어떤 영향을 미치는가를 분석하였다. 연구결과를 통해 복합용도시설의 공공공간 디자인 요소에 대한 환경지각이 이용자의 만족도에 중요한 영향을 미친다는 사실을 확인하였다. 분석결과 이용자는 공공공간의 디자인 만족도가 높은 복합용도시설을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 공공공간 디자인 만족도에 유의적으로 영향을 미치는 디자인 요소는 공간위치, 시설물 디자인, 공간환경, 사인물 디자인 순으로 나타났다. 이용자의 복합용도시설 공공공간의 디자인 만족도에 영향을 미치는 디자인 요소의 상대적 영향력 크기는 공간위치, 시설물 디자인, 공간환경, 사인물 디자인 순으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 시설과의 위치관계 및 이용자의 체류행위와 연관된 디자인 요소가 중요함을 알 수 있다. 공간의 위치는 시설과의 위치관계, 유입로와 공공공간 형태와의 관계를 의미한다. 유입가로와 연계된 보행패턴, 각 공간별로의 수직이동을 위한 시설물 설치가 복합용도시설 공공공간의 이용자 디자인 만족도를 높이는 디자인 요소로 제공되어야 할 것이다.
Abstract
This study aims to examine whether and how design elements of public space in a multi-complex facility influence user satisfaction. I found that user perception of design elements of public space substantially influences the user’s design satisfaction. Specifically, the major findings of this study are as follows: first, this analysis shows that users’ preference about a multi-complex facility is strongly influenced by the degree of satisfaction about the public space design. Second, the relative importance of design elements that influence the user’s design satisfaction turned out to be in the following order: space location, facilities’ design, space environment, information and sign design. Third, it was found that the influence of the user’s design satisfaction differs in terms of gender.
