빈곤사회를 위한 사회적 디자인(Social design) 평가지표에 관한 연구

This study starts from a hypothesis that design, which is closely related to human life, can secure human rights and mitigate social inequalities. This study aims to propose social design guidelines to resolve a conflict in poor societies caused by economic inequalities. The concept and characteristic of the social design is defined to lay the foundation for the study. The basic principles of social design is derived from analyzing many design development practices and previous studies of the evaluation criteria for absolute poor people who can not secure human rights because they can not generate enough income. Basic principles derived from this study are 'ensuring human rights', 'shared value creation', 'social appropriateness', 'sustainability'. The four principles act as essential items to assess social design and could be used as criteria to develop social design. And the four principles ensure the objectivity of evaluation for social design in reality that there's a lack of understanding and interest in design for the extremely poor.
