한국과 미국 경찰교육행정기관에 관한 행정법적 비교 검토

A society has been transformed and developed rapidly since 21st century. In particular, IT(information and technology)industry offers lots of conveniences to us who lead modern lives. However, it generates those who fail to cope with or refuse Today's transformation. In spit of this, it is evident that all of contemporary people struggle to adjust to the currents of change. Administration also makes various efforts to adapt to the alteration. Especially, the police, who are responsible for public peace and order, give a lot of shots to come up with today's currents. As one of those tries, they educate police officers continually. Particularly, the police train preliminary police officer in the National Central Police Academy for eight months so that they are able to cope with a variety of environments. In addition, they make the preliminaries have knowledges related with their duties which are needed to be the professional police. As an administrative agency in charge of schooling the fresh police, the National Central Police Academy is questionable if it promotes the quality of education for the preliminary police. It is because those who have liabilities for the training are not professional. Though it has this problem, the law does not have regulations related with that. It could result in reducing the educational quality and losing the professionalism. To making sure safe social peace and order, improving the qualities of the police is more important than any other things. Thus, the police should be special in their duties so that the law ought to be enforced legally. This study compares with and reviews the police of the United States and suggests the direction into which the Korean police should head.
