모시 소재에 적합한 패션상품 디자인 개발 -조각보 모티브 디자인을 중심으로-

The essential thing to create the high economic value added in the modern fashion industry is 'tradition'. The product should be developed on the basis of 'Korean design' that embodies the modern beauty of traditional culture. In order to activate the Hansan ramie fabric, which is a representative traditional material, the design development should be a key factor. The study surveyed origin, history and manufacture process of Hansan ramie fabric and analyzed the fashion products containing patch quilt motive design through internet search. On the basis of them, the study suggested 5 designs, which are suitable for modern sense, displaying the characteristic of traditional patch quilt. First, the study searched for the splendidness of patch quilt by using the simple-tone light and shade of ramie fabric.[design1][design2] Second, the study displayed change and tension by focusing on color and nuisance of patch quilt motive. [design3][design4] Third, the study performed the design process by using the decisive splendidness of color surface division and relievo. [design5]. It is expected that the study will be helpful for the research of Korean fashion product and continual design development about ramie fabric material will be performed.
