Traditional control & monitor system is operated on local environment and its use is limited. Therefore, it is so difficult to interface each instrument and device as well as design optimized control & monitoring systems. But based on the advances in computer and instrument technology, the paradigm of control & monitoring is changing to module based integrated systems. In the field of industry and research, integrated control &monitoring system is becoming more and more necessary. In this paper, we discuss ways to configure each component system in distributed environment, and furthermore, design the integrated interface for managing and processing of received data from each instrument. To achieve this, we utilize profibus as a basis for implementing integrated control & monitoring interface and, practically applied this interface to KVN (Korean very long baseline interferometer network) receiver system.
