폐 유리병을 사용한 업 사이클링 디자인 제안

Generally, glass bottles are buried in the ground for treatment, unless they are intactly recycled after use. However, glass that isn't naturally degradable remains permanently in the ground. In spite of recommendation for recycling to reduce the landfill capacity, the actually recycled glass bottles are lower in quantity, in comparison with the total waste. Whether broken or not, they are all recyclable, but additional expenses are incurred in the course of recycling. Here, the economic efficiency becomes an issue. For that reason, they are mostly buried in the ground. From the viewpoint of recycling, when the intact use of glass bottles is considered an application of economic advantage, waste resources should be used as it is. In that sense, glass bottles seems to be representative case of resources, which require upcycling designs. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to make a proposal for industrial materials under the category of upcycling designs using waste glass bottles. The research methods and contents are as follows. First, from another angle, it aims to examine glass bottles that are easily used and wasted around us and identify their value as continuously usable resources. Second, it aims to examine the validity of the research according to precedent and case studies on upcycling designs and properties of glass. Third, it aims to make a proposal for designs by comprehensive analysis and comparison of collected data.
