브랜드 스카프 디자인의 조형요소 비교 연구

초록
과거 스카프 디자인의 공정 과정은 수작업을 통하여 패턴 디자인을 한 후 칼라별 분판과정을 거쳐 프린팅을 하는 복잡한 구조를 가졌다. 이 구조는 칼라도수의 제약과 자유로운 디자인에 대한 표현의 한계를 불러왔으며 개발비가 많이 드는 단점이 있었다. 하지만 지금은 디지털 프린팅(Digital printing)의 발달로 인하여 디자인과 칼라의 제약 없이 손쉽고 자유롭게 소량으로 스카프 디자인을 개발할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 제품생산의 편의성으로 인하여 스카프 디자인은 섬유패션 관련 디자인학과의 전공수업이나 실무디자이너들의 샘플생산, 또는 작가작품의 소량생산에 적극 활용되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구논문은 시중에 시판되고 있는 브랜드 스카프 디자인들의 2차원 이미지 자료를 수집하여 패턴과 색채를 분석함으로써 스카프 디자인을 제작할 때 필요한 기본적인 조형요소와 분석의 틀을 알아보고자 한다. 또한 이 연구는 급변하는 디자인 교육현장에서 요구하는 스카프 디자인에 필요한 기본적인 방향을 제시하여 창의적이고 고부가가치의 디자인을 창출하는 스카프 제품 개발 교육과정에 도움을 주고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다.
Abstract
In the past, the scarf design process has a complex structure, which the pattern was designed manually, and then the design was printed passing through the stopping out process by color. This structure restricted the number of colors to be used and the free design expression, and has a weakness by the expensive development cost. However, today, the scarf design can be developed easily and freely in small quantity without having restriction of the designs and colors by the development of digital printing. Due to such convenience in product production, the scarf design is actively used in the major courses of the departments of the design related to textile and fashion, the sample production by the designers in the business, and the small quantity of artistic work production by the artists. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the basic formative elements required in designing the scarf by collecting the image data from the brand scarves in sales, and analysing their patterns and colors. This study has a meaning to provide the help to develop the scarf designs, which create the creative and high value designs, by suggesting basic direction required in rapidly changing design field to the aspiring designers.
