이혼가족 자녀를 위한 집단 프로그램의 효과성 및 효과 요인: 수정된 CODIP의 지역사회복지관에서의 적용을 중심으로

본 연구는 미국에서 개발된 이혼가족 자녀들을 위한 집단 개입 프로그램인 CODIP(Children of Divorce Intervention Program)를 한국 상황에 맞게 수정하고 지역사회복지관을 중심으로 실시한 결과에 근거하여 프로그램의 효과성 및 효과 요인을 밝히는 데 그 목적이 있다. 수정된 CODIP를 서울소재 5개 지역사회복지관에서 초등학교 고학년을 대상으로 진행하였으며, 프로그램에 참여한 총 17명의 자료와 진행기록을 양적, 질적으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 참여자들은 학교나 학급의 규칙을 지키는 것과 학교생활에 대한 흥미 수준에서 긍정적 향상을 보였으며 부모의 이혼 및 이혼으로 인한 가족 변화에 보다 잘 적응하고 긍정적인 태도를 가지게 되었다. 이러한 변화를 가져올 수 있었던 효과 요인에는 집단 진행기술, 긍정적 변화의 토대, 부모의 이혼에 대한 인식 및 대처, 대처기술의 4개 영역에서 총 12개 요인이 도출되었다. 이상의 결과는 이혼가족 자녀들을 위한 개입의 필요성 및 효과적인 집단 프로그램 진행에 있어서 의미 있는 시사점을 제공한다.
Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate a modified Children-of-Divorce Intervention Program (CODIP) and to analyze the factors that contributed to its effectiveness. Methods: The CODIP was carried out with 17 participants in five different community welfare centers. Process recordings of the programs were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Results: Quantitative analysis reflected improvements in both the children’s levels of interest and ability to follow rules in school, and it revealed that participants adapted well to the family transition that resulted from the divorce. Qualitative analysis yielded 12 factors within four categories of experience: group facilitation skills, foundation of positive change, perception of and coping with parental divorce, and coping skills. Conclusions: The researchers discussed the importance of intervention programs for children of divorced parents and they and offered suggestions regarding effective facilitation skills in those programs.
