A Study on Innovation Performance according to the R&D Capabilities of Woman Entrepreneurship Venture Company

Unlike the past, as the status of women becomes higher and women's economic activity participation rate is also increasing, we have a great interest in human resource capability of female having a potential. Furthermore, since an interest on women's entrepreneurship is increasing, some studies on both the characteristics of the female entrepreneurs and female managers have been released. However we cannot find the researches on the impact of innovation performance affected by the female founder’s characteristics and the R&D capabilities of woman entrepreneurship venture company. By using the 2010 Venture Company Precision Survey data, the authors empirically analyze the influences to innovation performance according to the characteristics of the female entrepreneurs and the R&D capabilities of woman entrepreneurship venture company respectively. As a result, a few factors such as age, education level, founder’s undergraduate majors like Humanities & Social Studies and others, and companies held R&D Center showed a significant impact on the numbers of patents and industrial property rights. Especially, an education level of female entrepreneur also significantly affect the sales ratio of new products. This study is of great significance in that it firstly deals with the innovation performance of woman entrepreneurship venture company.
