1. CONTENTS (1) RESEARCH OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to investigate the proper action program of the real-estate registration unification and to examine its effects through the cost-benefit analysis. (2) RESEARCH METHOD This study was carried out by the method of cost-benefit analysis, but not applying the CVM approach. Some legal and practical considerations have been added. (3) RESEARCH FINDINGS In the results of this survey, it has turned out that the real estate registration system cannot be unified to a single institution such as the judicature or the executive including local governments without reasonable and practical compromise. 2. RESULTS This study shows that information improvements and benefits in transaction through the unification and the elimination of discordances between registration books are far beyond the expected costs needed to the unification.
