국내 특급호텔의 친환경정책 및 사회적 책임활동에 관한 연구 -서울과 지방 호텔 간 비교를 중심으로-

Nowadays the social and environmental responsibilities have become an inescapable priorities for business owners. Especially the industries which promote intangible products have faced increasing pressure to pay attention to corporate social responsibility and sustainable environmental issues. Therefore this study was designed to investigate the concept and current status of corporate social responsibility and sustainable environmental protection policy of hotel industries. This study also examined the extent of deluxe hotel industries environmental policy practices in employees' point of view so the managers and stakeholders could evaluate the position on environmental issue. As well as this research aimed to compare the difference between Seoul hotels and local hotels. The data were collected by means of questionnaires and this study showed that the social responsibility and eco-friendly environmental operations are no longer critical issue for hotel owners. It has been becoming a mandatory requirement for both managers and employees of hotel industries. As well as employees who work in local hotel industries also regarded corporate social responsibility and environmental policies as the most important strategies in operating hotels in long-term view.
