본 연구는 카지노기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 기업과 정부 간 인식의 차이를 상호지향성 모델을 적용하여 분석함으로써 카지노기업과 정부 간의 의미공유 제고 방안을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 카지노기업의 개념 및 특성, 사회적 책임의 개념 및 유형, 상호지향성 모델 및 선행연구 등에 관한 문헌을 검토하였다. 조사대상으로 카지노기업은 내국인 출입 카지노 강원랜드, 정부는 문화체육관광부, 지식경제부, 사행산업통합감독위원회, 한국문화관광연구원 등을 선정하였다. 선정된 조사대상의 조직 구성원에게 163부의 유효표본을 수집하였고, 커뮤니케이션 관점의 상호지향성 모델을 적용하여 경제적․법적․윤리적․자선적 책임과 지역사회기여 등의 영역에 대한 객관적 일치도, 주관적 일치도, 정확도, 메타동의 등을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 모든 영역에서 상호지향의 형태가 ‘그릇된 일치’로 나타났으며, 집단 간 이해와 오해가 혼재되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 분석 결과에 기초하여 이론적 기여도와 시사점을 제시하였다. 이론적 기여도는 카지노기업의 사회적 책임활동에 대한 측정 요인을 도출 하였다는 것과 상호지향 형태 분석을 위한 확대 분석 기준을 제시하였다는 것이다. 또한 시사점으로는 카지노기업의 사회적 책임 활동 전략과 커뮤니케이션 전략의 개선을 통한 의미공유 제고의 필요성을 제시하였다.
Abstract
The Purpose of this study was to analyze the degree and formation of co-orientation toward corporate social responsibility between casino corporation and government. The literature review covered the concepts of casino industry, corporate social responsibility and also trends of research related to this topic. Based upon previous researches, an analysis model of co-orientation was designed. The activities of corporate social responsibility were grouped into five factors such as economic, legal, ethical, philanthropic, and local community contribution responsibility factors. For this study, 163 samples were collected from casino corporation and government. The findings of this study revealed that the degree of co-orientation toward corporate social responsibility between casino corporation and government was very low, and the formation of co-orientation indicated ‘false consensus’ between those groups. As a conclusion, theoretical and practical contributions were elaborated and the limitations of the study were discussed. The study suggested that casino corporation should have strategical approaches to enhance the degree of co-orientation between casino corporation and government.
