업무환경이 장애인고용 기업체의 산업재해 발생에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 기업체 장애인 고용패널을 활용하여

This study analyzed how work environments in a company that employs disabled people influenced the occurrence of industrial disasters. The results revealed that the factors significantly affecting the occurrence of industrial disasters were the working environment and the labor environment. Specifically the working environment had a positive 1% effect level on the occurrence of industrial disasters involving disabled workers, whereas shift work had a negative 5% significance level effect. However, the convenient environment, workload, group activities, and organizational commitments that were discussed as major impact factors in the existing researches did not demonstrate any significance in this analysis. The reason appears to come from the environmental characteristics of companies that hire the disabled in Korea. Most of companies that hire disabled workers are small- and medium-sized companies and they often have quite a poor working environment. The number of amenities for disabled workers is less than 6; and this is less than the average. In other words, improvements in the working environment and labor environment should be prioritized in order to prevent industrial disasters occurring in companies that hire the disabled. Hence the development of industrial accident prevention programs should be enhanced, and this should furthermore provide room for future policy changes.
