디자인 탄생의 흔적과 상징적 기호에 관한 고찰

초록
디자인은 인류 발전과정에서 창출된 결과물이다. 삶을 유 지하기 위한 도구나 용품은 물론 체제 안정유지나 염원을 위 한 방식들도 개발했다. 이 과정에서의 상징적 표현물들은 이 러한 목적달성을 위한 훌륭한 흔적들이고 이는 현대사회에 까지 인용되고 있다. 본 연구는 상징적 표현물들에 대한 가치 와 그 변화과정을 통해 미래 디자인으로서의 방향성을 제시 하는데 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 선사시대 인류들이 만든 상 징적 조형물로부터 현대사회에서의 상징적 조형물들에 대해 시대적으로 분류, 특성을 정리한 시계열분석하였다. 연구결과 상징적 조형을 통한 사회적 역할로서의 목적성 은 시대별로 크게 상이하지는 않았다. 그러나 현대사회에 들 면서 사용 확장성은 날로 증대되고, 표현형식은 은유적이고 단순화되는 경향을 보였는데 이로 인한 예술성과 심미성이 저하된 문제점이 나타났다. 미래사회에서 더욱 반복적으로 인식될수 밖에 없는 환경을 감안한다면 심미적 예술성이 결 여된 상징적 표현물들에 대한 거부감이나 시각 공해의 주범 요인이 되기도 한다는 심각성이 크다. 개선방향으로는 상징 적 디자인의 진정한 가치인식과 예술적 심미성의 보완 노력 이 필수적이라 하겠다. 수용자들의 이해증진을 통해 디자인산업에서의 미래가치 창출은 물론 주변 시각 조형 환경을 향 상시키는 근본이 될 수 있기 때문이다.
Abstract
Design is the result of the creation of the human race in the course of the development. Human had developed tools or supplies for life maintenance and keeping of the stable system and desires. In this process, these symbolic representations are a great trail for the purpose of achievi ng. These acts has been cited in contemporary society. The purpose of this study is the propose of future desig n direction through the process of symbolic design and it svaluechanges. Researchmethodsusedtimeseriesana lysis. It was quoted from symbolic representations of pre historic to contemporary symbols. Result of study, purpose of period did not different in so cial role as a symbolic figure. But the scalability of use were growing increasingly. As a result, the form of expre ssion and was a metaphor. And artistry seems to be degr aded. This is repeated, recycled, will be recognized. Such a symbolic representations will be the factors of clutter. Direction of propose is the recognize the true value of the symbolic design and artistry of the additional effort. Understanding of consumers is essential. The development of the design industry in the future co mes frome consumer.
