본 연구에서는 공공영역에서 이용되는 정보기기인키오스크 중 문화 컨텐츠 산업에서 영화 산업의 발달과 함께 사용의 증가가 이뤄지고 있는 영화관 무인티켓 발매 키오스크1)를 대상으로 화면 유저인터페이스사용성 향상을 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 현재 우리나라에서 키오스크가 제공되고 있는 메가박스, CGV, 롯데시네마의 무인티켓 발매기의 티켓 구매 UI 화면을분석하였으며, 이들을 대상으로 1차 사용성 테스트와설문을 통해 키오스크들을 비교 평가하고, 문제점 및요구사항을 분석하였다. 문헌 연구를 통해 UI 디자인가이드에 대해 고찰하고, 기존 키오스트 평가에서의문제점 및 요구사항을 더하여 개선된 키오스크 UI를디자인하였다. 개선된 키오스크 UI는 기존 키오스크테스트에서 가장 사용성이 우수한 것으로 평가된 UI 와 2차 사용성 테스트를 실시하였고, 통계분석을 통해주어진 과업 수행시간 (101초 vs. 82초), 에러 (2.6회vs. 1.8회), 만족도 (3.3 vs. 4) 측면에서 개선이 되었음을 증명하였다. 마지막으로 2차 테스트에서 도출된문제점 및 사용자 요구사항에 따른 추가 UI 개선 방향을 제시함으로서 사용자 중심 디자인 프로세스를갖춘 키오스크 UI 디자인 연구를 진행하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this research was to improve the user interface of theater kiosk which has propagated rapidly as a public information device as movie industry grows up. The authors evaluated user interface of three domestic theater kiosks, Megabox, CGV, and Lotte Cinema, performed 1st UI test to find out the best user interface of them, and checked problems and user needs during the usage. Based on the literature survey of UI guidelines and findings of the 1st UI test, improved theater user interface was developed. In the 2nd UI test, newly developed theater user interface was compared with the best user interface found during the 1st UI test. Using the statistical test, newly developed theater UI was proved to be superior than current theater UI in terms of task performance time (101 sec. vs. 82 sec), error (2.6 vs. 1.8) and user satisfaction (3.3 vs. 4). Finally, the authors followed User Centered Design Process by providing the direction of further improvement points based on test results and user feedback of 2nd UI test.
