This paper provides the role model of the self-development seen by David in the Bible and looks at necessity of the self-development. And the study suggests ways to grow successful life through self-development and life of David. David was always with God and controled over his mind, thoughts, current conscious and subconscious, language, and habits well, and eventually became an example of the successful life. And Samuel said to Jesse, "Are these all the children?" And he said, "There remains yet the youngest, and behold, he is tending the sheep." Then Samuel said to Jesse," Send and bring him; for we will not sit down until he comes here." So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, with beautiful eyes and a handsome appearance. David is the son of the youngest son of the 8 brothers. He is well taken care of herd sheep as the shepherds and played the harp and the song as music therapist. And the LORD said, "Arise, anoint him; for this is he."(1 Samuel 16 : 11-12). David put his hand into his bag and took from it a stone and slung it, and struck the Philistine on his forehead. And the stone sank into his forehead, so that he fell on his face to the ground. Thus David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone, and he struck the Philistine and killed him; but there was no sword in David's hand(1 Samuel 17 : 49-50). In summary, If we build up trust on God and live with God like David, we also can live with the successful Life as David.
