‘관광진흥법’의 현황과 입법적 정비방안에 관한 연구

A Study on the Status and Legislative Adjustment of the 'Tourism Promotion Act'

The tourism industry of korea is developing from day to day rapidly nowadays. However, there has been little change in tourism policy compared with the past, which may be because there has been no change in tourism-related laws that form the basis of tourism policy. Current Korean tourism-related laws include the 'Tourism Basic Act', 'Tourism Promotion Act', 'Tourism Promotion Development Fund Act', 'Korea Tourist Organization Act', and the 'Act Concerning the Cultivation of an International Conference Industry'. Among these, 'Tourism Basic Act' is the highest level law and it has gone through four amendments since its legislation; however, it is difficult to see that its contents fully reflect the changes that have occurred since its inception. 'Tourism Promotion Act' is a most important law among tourism related laws. The purpose of this Act are to contribute to the promotion of tourism by creating an environment favorable to tourism, developing resources for tourism, and fostering the tourism industry. But, this Act has many problems to improve. This Act did not reflect current situation, that changes rapidly. And has too many rules in every field of tourism industry. So, this Act must be amended. A desirable way of amendment of this law is seperating several laws.
