The purpose of this study is to construct the new model of internationalization of Korean ventures and to examine its explanation power. Based on the theory of international entrepreneurship(IE) and effectuation, the core of the new model is basically composed of effectual concepts which determine the way of strategic decision making for entrepreneurs. And the relations among the effectual variables and the performances of internationalization are empirically analyzed. The internal factors of ventures which influence the effectual capabilities are also included in the model and their relations are empirically examined, too. The key contribution of this study is that it highlights the important role of IE in internationalization of ventures and shows the possible role of effectuation in explaining the realization process of IE.
