Studies on designs of Moowee can be discussed based on Lao-tzu’s philosophy. This is because the concept of Moowee can be related to concreteness of the designs only if it is understood metaphysically. Hence, Korean folk paintings of tigers as a traditional example in discussing this concept. Since narratives and expressions related to Moowee can easily be discovered from tigers in Korean folk paintings, methodology of Moowee-related designs could be applied in these paintings. A good example of such Moowee-related concepts is the tigers, which were originally designed to be deific but are actually expressed as familiar or even comical. In Korean folk paintings of tigers, which have been passed down among the general public in Korea, spiritual values rather than material wants are sublimated through mind-emptying. Here, “mind-emptying” shows the methodology of Moowee, and a flow of Moowee can be discovered through the code of “lightness” as it is related to elements in web-based interface settings. Hence, looking at tigers from the perspective of Moowee and interfaces, they could be discussed as a tradition-based future value of Moowee-based designs.
