‘특성화고졸 재직자 특별전형’ 학습자의 특성분석과 제도의 활성화 방안 연구

This study is intended to research the characteristics of employed learners who are admitted through special admission and to propose directions as to how special admission can be revitalized. The method used was by conducting survey at 2 universities based in Seoul. 125 questionnaires have been collected and analyzed. Female comprise greater portion of learners, and among them, female with less than work experiences of 5 years and age below 25 comprised most. The standard by which the learners selected which university to enter was the characteristics of the study, and the standard by which the learners selected which study to pursue was the relation of such study to what learners are currently engaged at work. Since learners manage both studies and work at the same time, they found it most difficult to leave work before classes began. The learners found that improvements such as reduction of tuitions to alleviate economic burden is mostlyneeded. Various support measures by government, enterprises and universities to revitalize special admission for employed specialized high school graduates are necessary. The government needs to take active measures such as providing tax benefits to enterprises, and enterprises need to adjust work hours or reduce period required for promotion. In addition, universities need to expand facilities or partlyextend work hours for administrative support the learners need.
