민주적 통제로서의 국회의원 평가

This paper deals with the evaluation of individual Assemblyman. For the effective evaluation, such questions are to be answered as follows: who can evaluate, what criteria should be used, what can be devised as assessing tools, and so on. Therefore, it is very important to provide objective criteria,accurate judgments, fair procedures, strict and obvious rewards and sanctions. The aim of the evaluation is to encourage Assemblyman to do his/her best for excellent accomplishment as a representative, instead of seeking the partisan interests. The areas of the evaluation should include a wide range of roles and duties of Assemblyman under the Constitution and laws. Ultimately, a political culture should be cultivated that the results of the evaluation can make an impact to re-election of Assemblyman, which requires the sustained attention and effort of the media and civil society.
